5 star ratingThe Chairman’s Room - simply amazing My wife and I visited the Chairman’s Room upstairs in the Clermont last Saturday and it was simply amazing. This is basically a Michelin Star restaurant that no one has heard of. It seems primarily focused on beef which comes from the owner's farm. Let me tell you it’s well worth a try. A rich amuse Bouche was followed by addictive sweet warm bread, simple and light starters followed by the main event which was amazing! The service is great with professional staff who know their wine’s and gave us an excellent recommendation. 5 stars all the way.

4 star ratingFabulous Decor and Lovely Food Visited on a Sunday evening, it was not overly busy and we were able to get a table without a booking. Service was excellent as was the decor and atmosphere. The food was really good and beautifully presented but was quite expensive.

5 star ratingSomething unexpected Blackrock is fast becoming a destination for good food in North Leinster and the New and the new and improved Clermont has taken the culinary ball and run with it. Having enjoyed a good piece of meat in its previous incarnation I was looking forward to a return visit when it reopened before Christmas.

From the minute you enter the door, it's clear that this is this something new, a place of quality, where the evidence of the fastidious attention to detail is everywhere. The luxurious quality of the fabrics, the intimate cafe to the front, the generous back Bistro, the natural daylight, the art - that indoor tree - this is not the Clermont of old - this is something new and unexpected with a dining experience to suit everyone and their particular budget.

While we didn't have time or a booking to enjoy the Chairman's Room, we had a delicious lunch in the Bistro, but will be back again soon to treat ourselves to something special upstairs.
